Google has announced the results of its 2018 Year in Search, which outlines the biggest trends based on searches conducted in South Africa this year.

Zuma Ranked South Africa's Trending Personality On Google Search In 2018 (Full List)

Trending searches showed South Africa’s interest in local celebrities, news and events, with six of the top 10 trending search terms being related to local matters.
The top personalities list reflects three politicians, two sports stars, and five other figures related to current affairs and news events.

Other popular search trends included listeriosis, Zuma, and the Global Citizen concert.
