The ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ now claims the first championship of his professional MMA career, becoming the 10th undisputed welterweight champion in UFC history.

The Fight: It was an absolutely dominating performance for Usman, who won every single minute of the fight and dominated Woodley, whose two-and-a-half-year title reign now comes to an end. “I might not be the best striker in the world, I might not be the best wrestler in the world. But when it comes to mixing the [expletive] up, I’m the [expletive] best welterweight in the world,” said Usman, who extends his mixed martial arts win streak to 14, and 10-0 in the UFC.

The victory made Usman the first African-born champion in UFC history. He controlled the fight from start to finish and won via unanimous decision, capturing scores of 50-44, 50-44, and 50-45.

Usman now owns a 14-fight win streak and a career record of 14-1. He’s yet to lose in the UFC.
